Female images – Anne Linnet’s paintings at the start of the
new millennium
18
March – 23 April 2006
Singer
and songwriter Anne Linnet has been a top name in Danish
popular music for more than 30 years, and she’s been drawing
and painting for just as long.
But since the
beginning of the new millennium, her urge to paint has grown
even stronger, and she’s begun to work more seriously with
the possibilities of visual expression.
Anne Linnet paints
nudes, portraits and abstract landscapes, and she uses bold
colours on her canvas. She herself believes these pictures
have “good energy,” and she wants to pass this energy on to
the public. Thus, she’s decided to exhibit them.
Two concerts
In connection with
this exhibition, Anne Linnet has arranged two concerts with
familiar songs and some completely new material. The first
takes place on Thursday, 20 April, at 7:30 p.m. in
Copenhagen’s Trinitatis church, and the second on Saturday,
22 April, at 7:30 p.m. in Rundetaarn (the Round Tower).
