Laufey Sigurdardóttir (b. 1955) Violinist and Páll Eyjólfsson (b. 1958) Guitarist have been performing together since 1988, as a duo on various ocations.
They are both known as soloists in Iceland, and both teach at Icelandic music schools in Reykjavík. Laufey is aswell a member of the Icelandic Symphonic Orchester Laufey Sigurdardóttir and Páll Eyjólfsson have both gone to further studies after finshing soloist diploma from Music schools in Reykjavík.
Laufey Sigurdardóttir went to Boston for further studies with G. Neikrug from 1974 - 1980, and from 1984 - 1985 she was awarded with an Italian scholarship, where she could study with A. Stefanato and Brengola in Italy. Aswell Laufey has participated in various Master Classes with Violinists such as J. Vlach and A. Grumiaux.

Páll Eyjólfsson finished his soloist diploma from Eythor Thorláksson in 1981. Later he went to Spain, where he studied with José Luís González in Alcoy, from 1982 - 1984 and in 1986. Páll has participated in various Master Classes with Guitarists such as; John Williams, Pago Pena, Benjamin Verdery, Manuel Barruego, David Russell, Oscar Ghiglia and Manuel Babiloni.
The first performance of the Violin and Guitar Duo of Laufey and Páll was in 1986, at an opening to an exhibition at The Living Art Musem, in Reykjavík Nýlistasafnið Again they performed in 1988 and after that theire repertoire has been constantly increasing. Páll and Laufey perform pieces from the barrok era to our living days. They make various concerts every year, both in Iceland; Reykjavík, Ísafjördur, Hólar, Thingvellir, Mývatn; in Churches, Schools and Art Museums, and in some European countries, from Faroe Islands to Finland and Spain Vilafames.

Laufey and Páll have premiered pieces of Icelandic composers, such as Thorkell Sigurbjörnsson thorkell and Hilmar Thordarson, specially composed for theire duo.
