One of the oldest pictures of the tower,
the church and the libary are not yet completed.

SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS    printerfriendly version
If you wish to visit the tower as a group and have an interest in history and/or astronomy you have the possibility of getting a guided tour of the tower.
A guided tour can be outside the usual opening hours, so no other visitors will interfere, as well as in the evening, in order to look at the Universe through our telescope.
You will hear about why astronomy was suddenly important in the mid 17th century, how the observatory was built, famous astronomers, who have observed from the tower, and about the history of astronomy in Denmark.
We have a little collection of globes, telescopes and other instruments, which is normally closed, but will be opened for guided groups.

If you are interested please call, preferably Monday between 11am and 1 pm.
Telephone: +45 33 73 03 73
The price for a guided tour is 1500 dkr.
The number of people in one group must be less than 35.

Astronomical sights in and around Copenhagen.
