When you visit the Round Tower, attend an event or use our website, web shop, and other services or platforms, we process information about you.

This privacy policy describes how and for what purpose we collect and process your personal information, as well as the rights you have in this regard.

We process information about you when…

…you purchase tickets through the webshop

When you buy tickets online to visit us or participate in an event, we collect basic information about you, such as name, email address, and country. We do this to send you your tickets and have the ability to contact you in case of cancellations and changes related to an event.

The processing of information is necessary for you to purchase and receive the desired tickets and to receive information about any changes or cancellations, as well as for statistical purposes.

Your information is processed by our subcontractors Amero and Clearhaus who handle online sales in our webshop.

…you purchase an annual pass

When you create an annual pass for the Round Tower, it is personal and may not be used by others. Therefore, we process the following information about you: name and phone number. This information is used to issue the card personally to you and to contact you in case you lose your annual pass.

When you visit our website, we collect anonymized information about you for the purpose of monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing the use of the website and providing a better user experience.

The website uses Matomo to analyze data traffic with anonymized IP addresses collected using cookies. The processing of personal information is based on your consent to cookies.

The cookies used are first-party cookies that are not transferred to other parties.

Please note that embedded content from other websites (such as videos from Vimeo) behaves as if you visited that particular website. These websites may collect data about you.

…you visit the Round Tower (video surveillance)

When you are a guest, be aware that video surveillance is installed in public areas. The equipment is set up for the protection of the preserved building, valuable objects, as well as employees and guests.

Video surveillance is handled by our subcontractors Advania..

…you visit the Round Tower (photo and video recordings)

We take candid and atmospheric pictures for use on social media, annual reports, the website, newsletters, or press photos, and document selected events with photos or videos for communication and possible marketing of activities and exhibition programs.

If you are a guest at or participate in an event or activity, general video or photo recordings of the event and the crowd may occur according to Datatilsynets guidelines for audience images at concerts, etc.

However, our photographer will always obtain consent in cases where it is necessary.

…you subscribe to our newsletter

We send news, offers, and general information in the form of newsletters to our subscribers. The newsletter is sent based on your consent. If you choose to subscribe to the newsletter, we store your name, email address, and preferences to send you relevant content.

We process your information to inform you about history and news and to market current activities, products, or other services. We keep your information to send you the newsletter as long as you consent to it. If you unsubscribe from the newsletter, your information will be deleted after one month.

You give your consent when you sign up to receive the newsletter, and you always have the right to withdraw your consent and opt-out of receiving newsletters from us. This can be done via the link at the bottom of each newsletter or by contacting post@rundetaarn.dk

… you apply for a job at the Round Tower

If you apply for a job at the Round Tower, we keep your application and any other information you might have sent along with it if you are being called in for an interview.


We process your information to recruit and hire qualified personnel, and we keep your information, such as CV and application, for up to one month after the recruitment process has ended.

Unsolicited applications are not saved.

… you apply for an exhibition period during our Open Call

If you send us an exhibition application, we keep your application, artist bio/CV and other information you may have sent along during the Open Call process of recruitment.

We process your information to recruit artist and other exhibitors, handle their applications and contact them regarding accept or rejection of the exhibition in question.


Your application and information is kept for up to 3 months after the handling process of the Open Call has ended.


If you are accepted for an exhibition, we will store your information until your exhibition period has ended.

…you/your child applies for our astronomy club (in Danish only)

If you apply for the astronomi club, we collect and store the information sent to us via the application form (name, age, address, motivation). We collect this data in order to contact and inform you in case of acceptance or rejection into the club and to send you more information if your application is accepted.

The information is kept until the course of the membership has ended and is hreafter deleted. If you/your child is not able to join the astronomy club and does not wish to be on the wait list, your information is promptly deleted at the time when you receive the answer that your application was declined.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • request insight into your personal information
  • have your personal information corrected or deleted
  • withdraw your consent if the processing of personal information is based on your consent

If you no longer wish for us to process your personal information or wish to restrict the processing of your personal information, you can send us a request.
