Ida Duelund x Maya SB
Experience The Round Towers concert space surrealy transformed. Where jazz, experimentation, and visual art merge as Roskilde Festival–featured artist Ida Duelund and visual artist Maya SB take over the tower for a playful live reinterpretation of the album Sibo.
Bassist, composer, and singer Ida Duelund is a free-thinking force on the Danish music scene and has spent recent years moving effortlessly across generations and genres within both the alternative and established music worlds.
Although Duelund is often associated with jazz, and in 2025 received a Danish Music Award for Jazz Composer of the Year for her debut solo release Sibo, she refuses to be confined by genre boundaries. On this evening, audiences can experience her alongside visual artist Maya SB. Together, the duo will reinterpret songs from Sibo, presenting the album through entirely new compositions and improvisations within the unique surroundings of The Round Towes historic Library Hall.
Duelund takes an uncompromising approach to music, transforming gentle contemporary surrealism into sound, imagination, and play, where the many expressions of music history converge in new and unexpected forms. She has worked with danish artists such as Baby in Vain, Barbro, and Jada, and is a co-founder of the experimental string duo Lueenas.
Maya SB is an audiovisual artist who creates visual experiences for concerts, theatre productions, interactive installations, and much more. She has collaborated with artists and groups including Michael Learns to Rock, Malk de Koijn, and TooManyLeftHands, as well as major fashion brands such as Baum und Pferdgarten.
The concert is curated by singer and composer Josephine Philip.

The venue opens to audiences from 7:30 PM. Visitors will be able to purchase refreshments and explore the current exhibition, Refractions of Ice, as well as Rundetaarn’s introductory exhibition on Ole Rømer and the Great Discovery.
Your ticket also grants access to the rest of Rundetaarn. This means you can enjoy the tower’s beautiful Spiral Walk, make your way to the very top for panoramic views of Copenhagen, and get an up-close look at the gleaming new copper dome.
The concert is part of Rundetaarn’s LIGHT YEAR 2026 programme, which commemorates the 350th anniversary of Ole Rømer’s discovery of the speed of light.
